Disneyland Adventure

Hello there sweet reader!

This is B again, reporting from lovely Paris.
Did you know that I had my last day of school EVER today? The last day of being a student, sitting on a bench in University,  staring blankly at the professor while scrolling through my Instagram, Fb- and snapchat feed,  listening to the professor intensely, remembering every word he/she says and asking questions in between. This is creeping me out, people. I love to be a student! I love to have no sorrows apart from some tasks and some exams (let’s be honest, it’s not the end of the world), I love to have almost no responsibilities and I love to be surrounded by fellow-students and like-minded people (read: people who are also constantly thinking about pizza and alcohol). And it’s all going away… qmdsoofiejqmlfzheeqonf!
But anyway 😂 Let’s not let the sadness of growing up keep us from beginning this post, because it is a very special one. I present to you today: a Disneyland Adventure!

On a cold yet sunny Sunday in November, the International Club of my school (IÉSEG) kindly invited us to explore the most magic country in the world: Disneyland Paris! The event was supposed to take place the week before, but for obvious reasons, it had to be moved. Therefore, we were a smaller group than planned, but still 15 freezin’ adventurers gathered that day. Although the trip is supposed to be for iéseg-students only, I managed to sneek in my boyfriend who was visiting me that weekend. Double score! We arrived at about 10 AM, when the park opens its doors, and headed straight for the Walt Disney Studios.

Our crazy group of International people. You can spot a German, Dominican Republican, Mexicans, Chinese, French, Hawaï, Belgians,…. I leave it up to you to spot who’s who!

Soon to be greeted by the familiar sight of Micky’s black ears.

The girls of the group immediately took matters in their own hands and started to design a plan of action. “First this attraction, then that roller-coaster, then we get a fast pass, then we eat, then…”

We pulled our coats tight (it was cold!), the real die-hards put on their minnie-ears and we headed for some fun!

Surrounded of course, by many of our favourite Disney-figures.

Now, I must give you one big tip. Please, go to Disneyland during the week. The weekends are way, way to busy! When we were there, it was only one week after the Paris attacks, so tons of people had probably cancelled there trip and it was still suuuuper busy. For each and every attraction, you had to wait at least 30 minutes, sometimes 1,5 hour. And I hate queuing, and it was cold!
Nevertheless, we had so much fun when we were actually IN an attraction. My favourite one was the “elevator” in the hotel. We laughed like crazy 😄.

After exploring most of the attractions in the Walt Disney Studios (we didn’t do them all because we didn’t want to wait), we headed for the real thing: Disneyland Park.

We were very happy to be there at the end of November because the park was already in full Christmas mode.

Disneyland Adventure

Christmas ornaments, bows and twinkling lights everywhere. And an enormous Christmas tree.

We walked through the streets of the beautiful Disney village, admiring all the sweet little shops along the way.

Until we finally arrived at the most beautiful ‘house’ of them all: the Princess’ castle.

After posing with my friends, I naturally had to grab my prince charming.

Or… not that charming 😉.

Also, check the guys taking selfies on the right.

After that little posing-session, it was time for the attractions again. Some were a little bit of a let down, others were truly awesome!

Together, we patiently stood in line. Not forgetting to take care of our snapchat of course!

As per usual in November, the sun soon began to set, and the moon appeared at the sky.

Soon, all the lights were lit, and after enjoying a couple more attractions, people started to gather at Disney’s center.

All for the final show!

While the castle twinkled, a huge parade of Disney figures gave us their biggest smiles, funkiest dance moves and happiest songs.

Fairies and wizards, Elfs and hunters, princesses and princes, the whole bunge!

Until finally, the last carriage arrived and Micky and Minnie waved us the last goodbye…

… and we all lived happily ever after 😍.

    • Hi Maud! We went the week after the attacks, and the park was pretty full if you ask me! We had to wait in line for every attraction for at least 30 mins (sometimes much more), so I think a lot of people still want to have fun, despite what happened. xx B
